From Peggy Helvik in Wibaux, Montana:
Dear Patricia and Fred,
...I am so excited because I have chances to preach again soon. God is so faithful! The hunger to hear His word is so evident. The people at St. Peter's and St. Philip's have gone for several years with little preaching from local priests. We have had more than six priests come and go in the past two years alone. All of them have been from foreign countries, and some of them extremely hard to understand. We have lost a number of younger people who once came to church, but have stopped coming. I sense such a deep hunger in the people to be fed by God's word. I agree, what people want on their Sundays is quality preaching. I would like to see others in our parish trained as lay preachers, but for now the opportunities to preach are few and far between. We have a priest from India with us now until May, after that, I do not know what will happen. ... I continue to pray for you two daily, as well as for your boys. ...

Love and prayers,
Peggy
